The Ngorongoro Crater

2.5 hours from Arusha, Ngorongoro is a caldera 19km in diameter and 600m deep. The enclosed ecosystem supports 25,000 animals — including the highest lion density in East Africa (approximately 62 lions in 300km²) and one of the last viable black rhino populations in Tanzania.

Getting There
