Mostar

Mostar's rebuilt Ottoman bridge (Stari Most) — destroyed in 1993 and rebuilt in 2004 — is one of the most beautiful and emotionally resonant sights in Europe. The old bazaar of Kujundžiluk, the minarets and the sound of the call to prayer echoing off limestone cliffs make Mostar feel like no other city in Europe. The bridge divers leaping 21m into the Neretva are a living tradition.
