4-6hrs RT, 740m ascent. Pony $30 to halfway viewpoint, hike 800 stairs up/down.

Trail: Prayer flags, caves, waterfalls. Viewpoint cave first monastery site.

5-Day Cultural Itinerary

Day 1: Paro airport (amidst mountains), Rinpung Dzong hike.

Day 2: Taktsang full day.

Day 3: Thimphu: giant Buddha, Tashichho Dzong, folk heritage museum.

Day 4: Punakha: Dochu La pass (108 stupas), fertile valley dzong.

Day 5: Paro market, depart.
